I had a great lunch with Ruth yesterday as we caught up with some of the things in our lives. We haven't chatted in a while. Where else do we go to? There's no question about it... you will always find us at La Piadina... especially if the fritto de lapu lapu (my favorite) is available. Hahaha.

I took pictures of my favorite dishes at Gerry's Grill. Too bad, I wasn't able to take pictures of all the food just the ones in front of me. Good thing, all my favorite dishes were right in front of me. Hahahaha. Just looking at the pictures make my mouth water. Yum! Yum! This was during Micki's birthday celebration.
Tokyo Tokyo
Labels: Tokyo Tokyo
Cheska's favorite Japanese Fastfood Restaurant.
She loves the chicken katsu.
Romel loves the california maki and the shrimp tempura.
I just love the tuna and the red iced tea.
We were given free samples of chicken gyudon. We honestly didn't like it.
Tokyo Tokyo offers Japanese food targeted at the young generation. Modern dining chairs and fixtures in red and white are complemented by a characteristically Japanese decor. Set lunches consist of one course, rice and drink. Shrimp or mixed tempura and tonkatsu (pork cutlet) are all-time favorites. Side orders of gyoza (dumplings) or sushi and sashimi go well with the refreshing iced tea. Drinks are limited to juices and soft drinks.

7 Flavors of Shakey's Pizza
Labels: Shakey's
We tried out the promo of Shakeys where you can avail the all new 7 flavors of pizza, 1 plate of calamares and a pitcher of iced tea for only 499 pesos. I didn't really like the pizza ( i'm a simple gal with simple tastes.. the taste was so complicated i couldn't figure out the ingredients of the pizza.. what a challenge! Although my hubby liked it.) but I loved the calamares. I wanted to order mojos but decided against it since we couldn't finish the pizza anymore. We were so full.
My Guilty Pleasure
Labels: Goldlilocks
This is my guilty pleasure... why guilty? because I do not want to share it with anybody else. Hahahaha. damot ba. As in I have a "do not share" stack and an "i can share" stack. Naku especially pag 1 box nalang.. naku I do not really share kahit na sa anak ko. My hubby has to ask permission pa from me if it comes from the last box na tapos super konti nalang. Pinatikim ko ang sisters ko.. naku pati sila na-addict na din. Hahahaha. I can see empty boxes of goldilocks lying around everywhere sa house. Its triple choco brownies from goldilocks. Best brownies evah!
An iceberg is a large piece of freshwater ice that has broken off from a snow-formed glacier or ice shelf and is floating in open water - Wikipedia
We were not fortunate enough to see an iceberg but we were able to eat at the newly opened Icebergs (hanep sa segue) at Robinsons Galleria.

Of course, we couldn't leave without eating the classic banana split which icebergs is quite famous for.

Pinoy Cook
Labels: internet food finds
My mom just can't stop raving about pinoycook.net. That was all she talked about last night during dinner. She spends the whole day in front of her pc just reading the entries there. It seems that everyday of this week she spent it in front of the pc...actually thats what i also do nowadays. I rarely leave my room except to eat. Kaya I have a very big tummy because I sit and lie down all day long. Sana lang she would try some of the recipes. Asa pa. She even checked up on me if I already visited that site.
Yesterday was my sister, Ate Jing, and her hubby's 10 years wedding anniversary. They celebrated it with us at Grilla - Old Spaghetti House at Antipolo City. Ang chika ng aking mader, my sister and her family will go to Phuket Thailand to celebrate their 10 years as a family.

Happy 10 years! Grabe naka isang dekada na kayo! Cheers!

Grilla - The Old Spaghetti House at Antipolo City is A-ok to spend time with the family. It has a playground for the kids to play with and for the adults naman, it has a view of the city to make muni-muni with. Hahaha. Syempre the food is masarap. If you plan to go there, please do try the sisig sampler. Yum yum! Yun agad ang naubos kaya I wasn't able to take a picture. Hahaha. The gorilla is also available for a date so you can bring your single friends.

At eto naman ang ja-porms ni cheska for the night.
